Veneto school breaks: family trips from Venice
Veneto's calendar, amended on 7 July 2026, sets Christmas from 24 December 2026 to 5 January 2027, with 6 January as a separate public holiday. Carnival is only three days, 8–10 February, and Easter is 25–30 March 2027. There is an additional closure on 29–30 April, and school ends on 8 June 2027 (infant schools 30 June); the earlier 12 June end date was replaced. The five-day example uses Easter.

What to weigh
- The 29–30 April closure falls on a Thursday and Friday, so with the weekend it is a four-day gap.
- The listed Carnival closure is 8–10 February. Check your school’s Saturday timetable before adding adjacent weekend days; do not assume a full week off.
