Choose a base for your trip

A lower room price may mean more time and money spent getting around. Compare where you want to go, the room your group needs and the journeys from each area.

Choose what you want nearby

Start with the places you expect to visit and the way you prefer to travel. An area near your main activities can be useful even when it is not described as the city center.

Compare equivalent stays

Use the same dates, room needs, occupants and important inclusions when comparing accommodation. One available property or room offer cannot establish the typical price of an entire neighborhood.

Include the daily journey

Look beyond the nearest transit stop. Check the route to your activities, changes between services, operating times and the walk from the final stop. Add the cost of journeys that your ticket does not cover.

Read the reason for each suggestion

Area suggestions explain the trip they may suit and what has been checked. They do not guarantee quiet rooms, step-free access or personal safety; check the details that matter at the specific property and route.
