- How accurate is this trip cost calculator?
- It is an estimate, not a quote. Costs are modelled from typical daily spend for the destination, the number of travellers, trip length and the pricing season of the month you choose, plus a route-based airfare allowance. Real prices move with demand and how far ahead you book.
- Does the estimate include flights?
- Yes, unless you turn flights off. Airfare is estimated from the flying distance between your departure city and the destination's main arrival airport, plus the pricing season. If you already have a fare, enter it and your figure replaces our allowance.
- Why do costs change with the month I pick?
- Accommodation and airfare both move with the pricing season. The same trip in a peak month can cost noticeably more than in a low season month, so the calculator prices the month you actually travel.
