Holiday breaks
Catalan school breaks: family trips from Barcelona
Catalonia's calendar gives non-university schools Christmas from 22 December 2026 to 7 January 2027 and Easter from 20 to 29 March 2027, both inclusive. Catalan Easter starts earlier than Valencia's, so families with relatives in both regions may not share a week. Each school also chooses four discretionary days, which can sit next to a break. Primary, second-cycle infant and ESO classes end on 21 June 2027; first-year Batxillerat ends on 17 June, and second-year end dates depend on exams and the school.
