What this estimate covers

Qualified planning allowances for two adults sharing the Rock Hotel Double Sea View with Balcony for six nights and seven days, May 11–17, 2027. These are new agent-selected research dates within retained May/June/September guidance, not personal travel dates or a weather/cheapness guarantee. Six visible nightly grid prices of £170 give a calculated £1,020 room reference. The page’s date controls and availability link showed May 2027 while its browser address retained an older October URL. No complete-stay checkout or room continuity was confirmed. The property-listed additional charge is £3.50 per adult per night, giving £42. It is already included once in the lodging bands; headroom of 0–50% applies only to the £1,020 room base. All bands use the same category, not upgrades or sampled hotel tiers. The observed rate is room-only, non-refundable and prepaid; no payment, reservation or commitment was made. Future rates and other required charges remain unknown. All 42 meal portions are paid, with fourteen extra hot drinks and fourteen literal 50 oz water items. Local menu and July 2026 city-benchmark evidence retains its sample and unit limits. Food reserves of 10%, 25%, 50% occur once; stock, tax/service and additional procurement costs remain qualified. The £168 party ground subtotal comprises £88 hotel airport return at £22 per adult per direction and £80 for two combined reserve/ascent-shuttle tickets at £40. Reserve admission is not added again. Town and reserve exploration, hotel-town links and the selected walking descent depend on ability, terrain and weather; fallback transport is unpriced. Return-shuttle stop descriptions conflict, so no return service is assumed. The cable car is currently closed with a 2027 reopening expectation, not a confirmed May service, and is excluded. Citibus alternatives remain unselected. Only town and the selected Upper Rock product are covered; Spain, border excursions, Med Steps, beaches and other extensions are unselected. Historical airport-level climate and retained Levante guidance do not guarantee Upper Rock visibility, wind or safe walking. The 3/4/5-day route-duration judgment is separate from the six-night price example. Sterling prices use the reference USD/GBP ratio 880.62/663.30 from 6 October 2026, with local pound parity retained; no transaction-rate or 2027 forecast claim. Official notices effective 15 July 2026 changed visa arrangements for the specified visa-required third-country branch, removing former UK-status exemptions and recognizing Schengen short-stay visas under the notice’s conditions. Excluded status groups and actual documents must be assessed separately. Personal eligibility, visa/transit fees, international airfare and unresolved mandatory costs remain unknown or excluded. Actual payable stays null; headroom is not guaranteed coverage.

Reference comparison: 2027-05-11 – 2027-05-17, 2 adults, 6 nights / 7 days. Payable total unknown.

  • Source expressly says to and from the airport, each way. One departure for each adult; no return discount or vehicle-sharing adjustment.
  • One Nature Reserve shuttle-and-admission product per adult
  • New direct official text resolves the product: Market Place to Queen’s Balcony plus reserve admission. Count once for two adults on one visit day. Explore St Michael’s Cave, Apes’ Den and Great Siege Tunnels on foot, then descend on foot.
  • Hotel–town–Market Place walks and walking within/down from Upper Rock
  • An explicit able-walker scenario, including the hotel’s hillside approach. Zero purchased transport is a selection, not proof that all connections are accessible or all fallback transport is free. No airport walk, border excursion or Mediterranean Steps route.
  • Hotel hillside approach → southern town / Southport Gates → Main Street and nearby Irish Town / Parliament Lane → Casemates Square / Market Place. Short urban walks are editorial planning links; no measured hotel-to-stop distance or guaranteed walking time.
  • Market Place → Queen’s Balcony by the selected shuttle; walking visits to St Michael’s Cave, Apes’ Den and Great Siege Tunnels; use a designated pedestrian exit toward town, modeled through the Moorish Castle entrance area, then walk back to the hotel. The Castle interior is not selected.
  • The reserve involves inclines and some loose steps. St Michael’s Cave has stair limitations; Great Siege Tunnels are not recommended by the operator for limited mobility. Levante can obscure the Rock with cloud and fog; heat and changing weather remain possible. Keep distance from wild macaques, secure food and never feed or touch them. If walking is unsuitable or paths/services close, additional transport or a changed plan is needed and is unpriced.
  • Gibraltar’s July 15, 2026 notice says its short-stay policy aligns with Schengen arrangements, recognizes Schengen short-stay visas, and ends former exemptions based on UK immigration status. The July 22 statement says visa-required visitors need the appropriate visa before travel; arriving by air creates no automatic entitlement. Personal documents, route and conditions must be checked again for the May 2027 example.
  • The July 15 notice expressly excludes Gibraltar Identity cardholders, Gibraltar Civilian Registration cardholders and other British citizens. Its visa-required third-country context must not be applied as a blanket rule to every visitor.
  • Walking within the reserve and descent are selected. Cave steps and the steep tunnel incline constrain mobility; no unguided safety, all-age or step-free guarantee.
  • Two usable local days separate the town and selected Rock visit; three to four allow a slower pace and weather flexibility within the same scope. One combined arrival/departure day is an editorial allowance, not a flight schedule. The seven-day/six-night price example is separate; shorter-stay terms are unknown.
